Collecting general information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, amongst other things, the type of browser used, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, and other similar data. None of this information can be connected to you as an individual. This information is produced automatically when using the internet and is required for technical reasons so that the requested web content can be correctly displayed. We perform statistical analysis of data of this kind in order to improve our website and its underlying technology.
SSL encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) over HTTPS.
Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files that a website places on a visitor's device. There are three categories of cookie:
- cookies that are absolutely necessary to ensure basic functions of the website
- functional cookies to ensure the performance of the website
- targeted cookies to improve the user experience
Log-in Area
- Cookies are used on our websites in connection with the (Office365) log-in.
- For example, this allows us to recognise that a user has already entered a user name and a password.
Statistical Evaluation (Tracking)
The following target-oriented cookies are used for the statistical evaluation of the use of our website.
Tracking for Personalisation
- Internal ID of the requested page
- Attributes of the requested page
- Categories of the requested page
These data will not be disclosed to third parties. These data are automatically deleted after no more than 7 weeks.
Social Media Cookies
Where PHT pages include social media plug-ins for recommending and sharing articles on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, we use a two-stage process. Data is only transferred to third parties when users click on one of the icons displayed in the social media bar. PHT has no influence on cookies set by Facebook, Twitter etc., nor does PHT have access to them.
Restricted function without cookies
If you do not allow us to use cookies in general, certain features and pages will not function as expected. In particular, the login function will not work. You can delete cookies that are already stored on your computer at any time.
- You can delete cookies using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Del or via the corresponding browser menu.
YouTube
For the integration of videos, our website uses the provider YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Normally, your IP address is automatically sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer when you visit a page with embedded videos. However, we have included our YouTube videos in the enhanced privacy mode (in which case YouTube will still contact Google's Double Click service, but Google's privacy policy does not evaluate personal information). As a result, YouTube no longer stores information about visitors unless they watch the video. When you click on the video, your IP address will be transmitted to YouTube and YouTube will know that you have watched the video. If you are logged in to YouTube, this information will also be allocated to your user account (you can prevent this by logging out before viewing the video on YouTube).
We have no knowledge of, and no influence on, the possible collection and use of your data by YouTube. For more information, please see YouTube's privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ . In addition, for the general handling and deactivation of cookies, we refer to our general description in this privacy policy.
Your Rights
You have the fundamental rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portabililty, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
You can contact our Data Protection Officer via the following web form.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to adjust this privacy policy to ensure so that it always meets current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in our privacy policy, such as when introducing new services. Any subsequent website access will then be subject to the terms of the new privacy policy.
