Healthy, sustainable, practical—a degree program that inspires and makes a difference
Target Audience
What does a modern, healthy, and sustainable diet look like—and how can this knowledge be effectively conveyed? In the Health and Nutrition teacher education program, you’ll become an advocate for health promotion and prevention in schools. You’ll combine subject-specific knowledge with practical culinary skills and learn how to foster nutritional literacy among students. Starting in your bachelor’s program, you’ll gain subject-specific teaching and practical experience, design your own lessons, and guide young people in making informed decisions about what to eat and what to buy.
Career Opportunities
The teacher education program trains students to become teachers of general education subjects at secondary schools (New Middle School, General Upper Secondary Schools, Intermediate and Upper Vocational Schools, Polytechnic Schools, etc.).
It provides a solid foundation in subject-specific knowledge and teaching methodology in two academic subjects or in one academic subject with a specialization, as well as training in general educational theory and practical pedagogy.
Students can flexibly choose their courses or specialization from a selection of 24 courses and one specialization, allowing them to pursue their individual interests and career goals.
