In the master’s program “Teaching Design and Technology,” students deepen and expand the subject-specific, disciplinary, and pedagogical competencies they acquired during their bachelor’s studies. The focus is on innovation, new materials and technologies, co-creation, and research-based and transformative design. The program builds on existing foundations and develops a reflective, professional approach to Design and Technology.
Particular emphasis is placed on combining design knowledge, craftsmanship, and research, as well as on testing subject-specific teaching concepts. Graduates are able to plan, implement, and evaluate competency-based instruction, as well as provide well-founded support for learning processes while consciously incorporating safety and sustainability considerations. Thus, the master’s program specifically prepares students for contemporary, responsible teaching practices in the field of Design and Technology.
