Collection of general information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the website content requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our Internet presence and the technology behind it.

SSL encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files that are placed on a visitor’s device by a website. There are three categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies to ensure basic functions of the website
  • functional cookies to ensure the performance of the website
  • targeted cookies to improve the user experience.

Integration of third-party content
On our website, we integrate content from external providers (e.g. forms or videos) via so-called iFrames. This content is blocked by default. A connection to the servers of the respective third-party provider will only be established if you expressly consent to this.

As part of this consent, personal data (e.g. your IP address) may be transferred to the third-party provider and the latter may use cookies or similar technologies.

Examples of such services are Jotform for forms and YouTube for the integration of videos. Further information on data processing can be found in the data protection declarations of the respective providers.

Web analysis with Matomo (cookieless)
We use the open source web analysis tool Matomo on our website in a privacy-friendly, cookieless configuration. No cookies are stored on your end device. The analysis is carried out exclusively on the basis of anonymized data, such as shortened IP addresses, information on the browser and end device used and on the use of our website (e.g. pages viewed, length of visit).

This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in order to evaluate the use of our website and to continuously improve our offer. This data is not merged with other data sources or passed on to third parties.

The data is processed on our own servers and is not transmitted to external service providers.

Log-in area
Cookies are used on our websites in connection with the (MS365) log-in. This recognizes, for example, that a user has already entered a user name and password.

Social media cookies
If social media plug-ins are integrated on the PHT pages in order to be able to recommend and share articles in social networks, for example Facebook, Twitter, we use a two-stage process for this purpose. Data is only transferred to third parties when users click on one of the icons displayed in the social media bar. PHT has no influence on cookies that are set by Facebook, Twitter etc., nor does PHT have access to them.

Functional restrictions without cookies
If you generally do not allow us to use cookies, certain functions and pages will not work as expected. In particular, the login will not work. You can delete cookies that are already on your computer at any time.

You can delete cookies using the key combination Ctrl + Shift + Del or via the corresponding browser menu.

ZOOM
The PH Tirol uses ZOOM for webinars and conferences. You can find more information here!

Your rights
In principle, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.

You can contact our data protection officer (data protection officer) via the following web form: Inquiry about the General Data Protection Regulation

Changes to our privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy from time to time to ensure that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
