The new educational campus of the University College of Teacher Education Tyrol was fully completed in early summer 2021 and brings together training schools, administrative offices, lecture halls, seminar and classroom spaces, creative and practical areas, a library, rooftop terraces, and spacious gardens all in one location.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the campus facilitates blended learning scenarios and innovative teaching formats. Two large lecture halls, approximately 40 seminar and media rooms, practice kitchens, creative, music, and workshop spaces, a recording studio, and a Future Lab are available to students. Spacious open areas and the on-campus cafeteria invite students to socialize, relax, and unwind. The campus is ideally suited to fostering 21st-century skills such as Communications, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.

Well-thought-out architecture that promotes a sense of well-being, a sense of community, and open space.

The new educational campus was built according to the plans of ARSP Architekten ZT, who won the EU-wide architectural competition for the campus.

The architecture and design combine revitalized existing buildings from the 1970s with modern new structures to form a functional and aesthetic whole. The buildings are unified by a consistent, finely perforated aluminum façade that complements both the existing and new structures and gives the campus a vibrant, contemporary appearance. Large, open interior spaces, transparent floor plans, and light-filled areas create a welcoming atmosphere for learning and working.

Our seminar rooms and lecture halls are equipped with modern facilities and offer ideal conditions for teaching, presentations, and workshops. Bright, flexible spaces facilitate group work, interactive methods, and digital teaching formats. Two large lecture halls provide space for larger events, lectures, and conferences, while the numerous smaller seminar rooms promote individual learning and in-depth discussion in smaller groups.

Training Kitchens & Service Areas

The modern kitchen and service areas can be used flexibly—as a fully equipped kitchen or a seminar room. They offer ideal conditions for hands-on training, ranging from creative courses to cheese and bartending workshops to service drills. Movable walls and professional equipment allow for a wide range of uses and encourage creative work.

Special Rooms for Practice and Creativity

The campus offers a wide variety of specialized spaces for hands-on learning and creative development. These include modern workshops and studios for craft and technical projects, well-lit art rooms for creative design, a fully equipped chemistry lab for experiments and scientific investigations, and music rooms for ensembles, instrumental lessons, and musical projects.

The specialized spaces can be used flexibly and help students develop their practical skills, work creatively, and engage in interdisciplinary learning.

Sports and Fitness Facilities

Our campus offers a wide range of opportunities for physical activity and sports. Two modern gyms, a spacious exercise room, and a large outdoor area allow for a variety of activities—from ball games to fitness and exercise programs to outdoor workouts. These facilities are complemented by an on-site indoor swimming pool, which provides ideal support for swimming lessons, water sports, and physical activity programs. In this way, the campus combines hands-on learning with health, physical activity, and recreation.
